October 23, 2020             FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Pulaski, PA)...The Pace Performance RUSH Sportsman Modified Series together with Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC is pleased to announce that Raceway 7 will again host the division in 2021 on a bi-weekly basis on Friday nights for the second consecutive year!  The 7/16-mile Conneaut, Ohio track's events will be part of the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Weekly Series Championship plus there will be a separate "Route 7 Rumble" cumulative point fund series presented by Wedge Motorsports for the Raceway 7 and Sharon Speedway events!  Raceway 7 will rotate the Street Stocks and RUSH Mods throughout the season with both running bi-weekly.  In addition, Raceway 7 will have a five-position weekly track point fund.

"We were really excited when we made this announcement last year," stated RUSH Director Vicki Emig.  "Obviously COVID disrupted the schedule at both Raceway 7 and Sharon, but we're pleased to be able to confirm that the program will 100% return in 2021 as how it was originally created this past year.  We're hopeful that by getting this announcement out early it will give racers in that area that are interested in center steer Modified racing the incentive to join the RUSH Sportsman Modified division."

Last year at Raceway 7, there were five different RUSH Sportsman Modified winners in five Hovis Weekly Series races including Garrett Krummert, Kole Holden, Rob Kristyak, Chas Wolbert, and Kyle Martell.  Prior to last year, five races were contested at Raceway 7 with five different winners.  Adam Hilton and Dave Conant, Jr. won events during the inaugural 2014 season.  After a four-year hiatus, Justin Shea won a thrilling event in 2018.  Chas Wolbert and Rob Kristyak shared 2019 victories during the month of June.  In total, there have eight different winners in 10 events!

"The shows at Raceway 7 over the years have been exciting with a lot of different drivers finding victory lane," added Emig.  "The RUSH Mods gives Raceway 7's fans something different to watch throughout the season, and rekindles some of the Modified memories from years gone by when the Big-Blocks ran their weekly from 1975-1989.  Raceway 7 just concluded their third year running our RUSH Late Models weekly and continues to draw in strong fields of cars for their weekly events."

The "Route 7 Rumble" Series presented by Wedge Motorsports will return, this time at 100%.  A cumulative point system for all races between Raceway 7 and Sharon will be used with the top eight drivers in points sharing $2,500 with $1,000 going to the champion!  Drivers must be a RUSH member to be eligible for the point fund.

The 2021 Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Weekly Series Champion for the Pace RUSH Mods will take home $3,500 with an increase in all 20 points-paying positions!  Each points-paying position will increase from $100-$500, which represents a 36% increase over the 2019 points fund and more than an 83% increase over this past year's point fund.  This marks the second point fund increase since the Series debuted in 2014!

In 2020, Rob Kristyak captured the inaugural "Route 7 Rumble" Series Championship by just four points over Chas Wolbert.  Wolbert though had the upper-hand in Hovis Weekly Series Championship to earn his first RUSH Championship.  Rookie Ayden Cipriano captured the Hovis "Futures Cup" crown.
